The resurgence of Dunton’s Surface Records impint in 2010 saw him drop two of the best 12″ of the last couple of years under his own name, as well as a stunning release under his new ‘Ever Vivid’ alias. These releases add to his fine back catalogue, showing a deeper, melodic, spaced out sound that sits somewhere between house and techno.

Dunton’s best known as being one half of The 65D Mavericks, alongside production and label partner Richard Polson (rip). The pair produced dark and experimental techno, releasing on labels such as Lost Recordings, Blueprint, Dust Science, Theory, Pure Plastic, Infrastructure and Sandwell District. The pair also produced under the alias’ of Abelde, Dual Unity (with Mark Broom) and Spirit.

Nick truly is one of the most understated artists within British the electronic music scene, we’re excited to showcase him in Manchester playing live, as well as djing.
